School readiness without rushing

Build a comfortable routine around conversation, independence and playful practice.

Choose one small task

Pick an everyday action such as putting a book back or following a two-step instruction. Model it, let the child try and offer help when needed. A routine should leave room for questions and mistakes.

Practise a little of each skill

On different days, enjoy a story, count objects, draw a path or talk about a good habit. Do not use every quiz in one sitting. The learning stages in PlayABC organise activities; they do not diagnose a child’s development or decide school eligibility.

Notice effort and confidence

Ask what your child enjoyed and which part they want to try again. Use the parent dashboard to see actual attempts, then choose a manageable next step. A certificate celebrates a particular learning quiz, not readiness for every classroom situation.
