Say the whole name aloud

Try the first name with the surname at a comfortable pace. Ask a family member to read it from the spelling. You may prefer a short everyday name, a traditional name or a name used across languages.

Check the meaning carefully

Name meanings can vary between languages and sources. The finder includes a compact, curated list instead of inventing meanings for thousands of suggestions. If a religious or linguistic interpretation matters to you, confirm it with a trusted source in that tradition.

Keep a shared shortlist
